The Angel on the Bridge is an iconic pub. Dating back to 1728, this grade II listed pub is one of the most photographed and painted pubs in England, because of its architecture and the amazing riverside location on the River Thames.
Inside it’s a quintessentially English pub with original beams and fireplace serving freshly cooked food. Outside on the terrace, it’s the perfect place to have a drink, a bite to eat and watch life go by on the river.
There’s a warm welcome waiting for you, no matter what time of year you visit, so pop in when you visit the beautiful Henley On Thames.

a week agoLocation, Location, Location. Sitting on river under the bridge this is a must stop for drinks for any visitor in Henley. We stop there every time we get into Henley as the views of the bridge and river are brilliant. On good weather weekend it will be packed on the terrace with happy drinkers (and many dogs). The service is quite efficient and trying hard to keep with flood of orders. Food is OK but considering price/quality ratio we mostly drink here. We will come back as it's an amazing location.

a month agoIf the sun comes out whilst you are in Henley, head straight to the Angel, Grab a pint and if you can, sit on a river side bench. A very lovely way to spend an hour. Great views of the Thames, boats... Just lovely. Oh, the pints are quite nice too!

2 months agoGreat traditional pub on the river with a nice terrace overlooking the Thames at Henley. The place for a really nice lunch, followed by a stroll along the Thames to walk it off. Some great real ales to wet your whistle.
