Michael, Claire, Callum & Evie, welcome you to The Hare & Hounds in Sonning Common. The Hare is a hidden gem in the centre of this pretty village set within the picturesque Chilterns and nestled between Henley-on-Thames and Reading.

Serving real ale and delicious homemade pub classics, there’s darts, pool, cards, live music, BT sports, cheese & port nights, board games, colouring for the little ones and roaring log fires in the winter.

When the sun is out there is a beautiful enclosed garden with children’s play area, a covered patio and a marquee to enjoy a summers evening of music and homemade stone baked pizzas.

Great local village pub. I always make sure I come and have a pint here. We had a wonderful dinner tonight. Steak and Ale pie Shepherds pie, beef and chicken burgers and chicken tika marsala all of which were outstanding.

Sunday lunch with friends. Amazing roasts and lovely friendly staff. Can’t wait to come back as I’m told by friends that the rest of the menu is just as fab. Thanks for a lovely Sunday

Last minute decision to have a Sunday roast here! OMG the beef was outstanding and the vegetables hot and fresh. Will certainly be back again for this real Sunday treat. #topchef

Visited with friends as it's their local. Very good food large portions. Shame the landlord is moving on. The village will miss them.
