a week agoDefinitely worth a visit for food or a drink if your visiting the area. We were there with our two kids and the owner was lovely. We all loved the chips :) Thanks again

2 weeks agoDidn't have a great experience here today. I'm not sure if I caught the bartender on a bad day. I popped in to meet a friend Whilst, I was waiting, i asked if I could charge my phone. The response I got wasn't warm. Turns out the guy didn't plug my phone in properly... so after a 20 minute wait, my phone didn't even charge. Then I asked for half a pint of coke. I got a full pint and was charge £4! That's very expensive and my order was wrong. (I never leave bad reviews, on Google, but today's visit just upset me and I was ripped off.) I've never paid that much for a coke ever. I tried to find the guy afterwards when I was leaving to see if he had incorrectly charged me... Disappointed:(

9 months agoLovely place with a good atmosphere and selection of ales and the usual drinks. The staff are really friendly and the service is great. A simple menu with good variety, well prepared and quick. The gents toilets were by far the nicest I've seen in any pub - clean, smelt fresh, all facilities functional, and nicely decorated. Yes - a well kept and decorated men's pub loo!! Unheard of!

6 years agoGreat pub in an unassuming village. We were on a walk and chanced upon this place. It looked very welcoming so we stepped in. The interior is very large with three areas for guests. The bar serves the usual branded lager and also some ale. The seating is very comfortable along the windows at the front. After a couple of drinks we decided to extend our stay and ordered a meal. Usual pub stuff served elegantly. And it was tasty. I'm sure I'll come again.
