This restaurant is a bright star in Oxford. Fin- and shell-fish dishes excellently prepared, as were the various meat dishes. Menu varies regularly depending on availability of fresh ingredients. Good game options. Every dish seemed very fresh and very well prepared, tailored to the season. Highly recommended.

If you're looking for a good restaurant in Oxford, you've come to the right place. A beautiful interior, fresh seafood and good lobster. Very good service and nice ambience. I would definitely come back here.

Food was great, staffs are very friendly but it was quite busy on the day, we waited for awhile to order food and after we got the bill, we waited at least 15-20 mins for the card machine.

No. 1 Ship Street is a very nice restaurant. We went for a casual lunch and the setting was quaint but I imagine the dinner vibe is more elevated, intimate and inviting. The food and service were both very nice although the portion sizes were quite small, especially the langoustine bisque and the octopus starter. The oysters and lobster were excellent! I would recommend this restaurant.

We had lunch here. The atmosphere was great and the servers were very attentive to us. We had a few starters and each one was absolutely amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection. We will most definitely be returning.
