3 weeks agoI absolutely love this place! Their pies are amazing - I always travel miles just to get them because I honestly haven't had better pies anywhere else. Me and my partner really appreciate that it's a friendly, family-run business where the staff actually knows what they're talking about when it comes to their products. Can't wait to come back!

2 months agoIncredible Pies, Delicious Pints of Ale, and wonderful service from this family owned restaurant - I hate the phrase... But this really is a hidden gem in an otherwise bleak city centre - I'm not longer at a lost for places to eat dinner in Reading!

7 months agoConsistently serves AMAZING pies and food. So lovely too, called up about dietary restrictions (dairy free) and was able to accommodate. Wish they had dairy free custard or ice cream to go with their dessert. But I’m just so happy I got to try the pies. If you’re in Reading, go here!

a year agoFantastic homemade pies. They are absolutely full of flavour. Many varieties to choose from and recommend the homemade cut chips. We ordered the gravy which was fantastic. This shop has been going for 44 years. All made The pies are made from scratch using traditional tin to cook the pies in. They also had a wide dessert menu, including apple crumble and many traditional puddings. They also have a deli counter where you can buy pies to take home and cook.

a year agoIf you want proper pies with real filling then this is the only place to go. We decided to eat in the little (but spacious) restaurant, after grabbing a nice pint of Harvey's beer from the bar, we sat down and had a cracking pie, chips and gravy. The staff are super friendly and I forgot to take a picture as the pie was too tasty Edit: Adding a picture from another visit later on.
