The Gosling

Went for father's day.great venue. Lovely outside space and the indoor decoration was stylish. food was a set menu. Well presented but the choice was limited. Service was very slow but we accepted it as it was busy .might go in the evening next time as I didn't feel any atmosphere that day.

The Gosling have great food, service and atmosphere with nice decor, the place feels premium. We did not have to wait for a table as I booked, if attending on a Friday or Saturday evening you may need to book well in advance (1 week+) as they are busy with good reason. The service was good, it did not take too long to order and we in fact asked for a little more time to decide. It was not a long wait for the food. We tried various dishes and were happy with all. Our favourites were the croquettes and the steak burger. We tried a couple of cocktails which were both good, my partner loved the lychee martini especially, she ordered 2 and she usually doesn’t drink much! It was fairly busy which I think we liked as it was a good noise level for chatting (not too quiet) yet we could still hear each-other fine. I would say that the seating for 2 all seems a little close together, however our dinner neighbours were friendly and I understand they want as many tables as possible when busy. Seemed like they brought out complimentary desert plates for diners coming out on occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays which is always a nice touch. Overall we had a lovely time and would recommend The Gosling to anyone looking for a nice meal out, the staff were very friendly, even on our exit.

First time at The Gosling, what a transformation the team have made here. Absolutely lovely venue, with many options for seating be it private, inside, outside the space is amazing. The food is brilliant, the lobster crumpet exquisite, monkfish, cod all absolutely top draw. Great wine and cocktail selection. Service was also fantastic from the team. We will be back for sure

Impeccable service, incredible food. Would highly recommend the lamb shoulder and croquetta starters, as well as the cod and monkfish mains. The mixed desert platter was the perfect finish to a lovely evening meal. Special thanks to Joao for great service. Will surely return.

Lovely welcoming staff; very friendly and attentive. Amazing cocktails and superb food! Great place, will be back. Highly recommend. The plate of food is their mushroom tortellini - would have again.
