No.1 Ship Street

The perfect first-night dining experience in Oxford! Our evening at No. 1 Ship Street was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. It began with Edith, our hostess, who was so kind, warm, and personable as she welcomed us and showed us to our table. Then we met Bianca, our server—what a fantastic duo! And then came the star of the evening: the food! We enjoyed several delicious cocktails along with incredible dishes, including the scallops, the cod special, and a burger. Everything was delicious, and the atmosphere was absolutely on point. The entire experience was the perfect way to begin our first visit to Oxford. Thank you, No. 1 Ship Street, for setting the bar so high on night one!

Service from beginning to end was absolutely amazing. Super attentive staff, great people skills and just all round great service. The drinks i had (boulevardier and 'popcorn' old fashioned) we're some of the best cocktails I've had in a restaurant. Really well made and super unique on the old fashioned. The food was superb. I had the Duck dish and it was lovely. Really well balanced with the sharp sauce and the rich duck and potatoes. If i HAD to critique anything on it, it could have been seared a bit harder but it was super nice and blush in the middle. Overall, one of the better meals I've had in a restaurant this year! Will be back to try the rest!

An elegant restaurant in the heart of Oxford. The food is refined and generous, the cocktails are good, and the staff are lovely. I highly recommend it!

A great restaurant with a varied and creative menu. Everything we ordered was delicious, and everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals. It definitely lived up to our expectations!
