2 weeks agoI booked a table online for my daughter and myself for my birthday. I received a confirmation of my booking for 8.30pm until 10.30pm. We arrived at the restaurant at 8.45 and I immediately apologised for our lateness, I am not in the habit of being late. I was met by the most virulent hostility from who I can only assume is one of the proprietors. His whole demeanour was one of aggression as he argued that I needed to have confirmation of my booking, which I had. Added to this he gesticulated at the clock throughout his tirade. I have never met with such rudeness before in my life when entering a restaurant. I was so astounded that I was left with no option but to walk out with my daughter. Whilst doing so I noticed that there was a vacant table for 2. I have subsequently noted that nowhere on the restaurant website does it state a cut off time for arrival or food service. Although there does appear to be a discrepancy between the closing time of the restaurant which is given as 9pm on a Thursday evening and the table booking which was stated to end at 10.30pm. This needs to be corrected. It is incredulous that a restaurant owner should display such anger and I was aware that the group of people who had entered through the door behind us, whilst we were being treated in this appalling way, scuttled off into the street. We were able to go to another restaurant in Caversham where we had not booked. We were greeted with politeness and food was served up until 9.30pm. Needless to say, Quattro in Caversham has not only lost my custom but my experience will be shared with distain amongst my many friends in the area.

2 weeks agoVisited Quattro for an anniversary dinner with my partner and had an amazing time. The food was excellent and service was prompt- Charlee was very lovely and attentive. Particularly liked the fresh pesto as part of the burrata. Would recommend reserving a table as books up very fast. Parking behind the restaurant which is very cheap if not free depending on the time of day.
