The Retreat

We highly recommend The Retreat as a wedding venue. From the very beginning, the planning process was so easy. The manager was incredibly accommodating, happy to work with all of our requests, and very flexible in helping us stay within our budget without compromising on anything. We were able to decorate the venue exactly how we wanted, and the team worked with us to make sure everything ran smoothly with our DJ, dance floor and selfie booth. On the day itself, the staff couldn’t have done more for us. They were constantly clearing tables, the bar service was excellent all evening, and the BBQ food was absolutely outstanding – so many of our guests commented on how good it was. Thank you to everyone at The Retreat for helping make our wedding day so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food isnt the best . Onion rings are huge way to much batter .ratio of batter to onion way off just taste of oil and batter . The scotch egg wasnt great .pork just about cooked .the outer coating almost thin batter like rather than being a crisp lighter panko bread crumb . Whoever came up with the idea to mix hp brown sauce with mustard fir a dip shouldnt be working with food . It tasted as awfull as its appearance . The place is clean though and beer was cold

Good pub to go to but who on gods earth does that manager Sam think he is so won’t be returning back he’s got a big ego and is very rude and the geezer with a pony tail is a strange one grown men who work at pubs 👍
