in the last weekOrdered a takeaway over the phone and explained my nut allergy and gluten intolerance. The staff were knowledgeable, confident, and very reassuring both on the phone and when we arrived to collect the order. The food was excellent – Chinese cuisine done exceptionally well. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone with coeliac disease or food allergies.

in the last weekWe discovered Kungfu Kitchen through getting takeaway & have visited the restaurant a couple of times since. The food is excellent with a good variety of dishes, some quite unusual, and a full bar. My wife has especially found eating at Kungfu Kitchen a revelation as she is Coeliac & the restaurant is the only Chinese restaurant we've come across, at least locally to us, that caters for her gluten free needs. It's somewhere we'll be coming back to time & time again in the future for sure.

2 weeks agoBest Chinese in Reading. Authentic Chinese dishes on the menu, including unusual dishes not found in your usual Chinese restaurant.

2 weeks agoKFK has become something of an institution in our community. A friendly, direct and informal atmosphere that makes anyone from a lively culture feel at home, and a menu that feels genuinely striving for authentic tastes. KFK offers multiple regional dishes, which may mean it takes time to figure out your absolute favourite. We have several already. Each evening's order ends up being a combination of familiar anticipation and recommendation, always rewarding. And, not least, Joana and family are wonderful hosts. A part of our life in Reading.

2 weeks agoWith a menu so long it could be a novel, it's hard to say that everything is great but when there place is packed with dinners and a constant flow of people collecting for take-away, there is clearly something for everyone on the menu! We ordered duck pancakes for starter, crispy shredded beef, Kung pao chicken and Singaporean noodles. Everything was excellent. Dishes were the perfect level of chilli heat. Prob sizes were generous too. Enjoyed it so much we forgot to take a single picture. It's a lovely family run restaurant where the owners clearly had regulars that they'd be chatting with which meant service was a bit slower but they got to you eventually. We'll take some pictures of the food when we go back soon.
