The spring Inn

Called in Bank Holiday Monday on the off-chance on our way back from Pangbourne. We have passed so many times travelling up and down the A4 saying "We should call in one day" Well, today was the day and so glad we did! We didn't have a reservation, but we managed to get a table for 2 without a problem. Staff were very friendly with quick service. Drinks order was.taken while we had a look at the menus. A specials menu was also available. Salmon, Sea Bass and Swordfish on a bed of Crayfish tail Risotto. One of the best Risotto dishes we have ever had. Fish perfect and Risotto rich and super creamy, the little shreds of Crayfish tail just added another level to the dish. I asked our waitress Emily to thank the chef and ask where they source their Crayfish from. No problem whatsoever. Came back very quickly with a comprehensive answer explaining everything in detail. Only slight "Problem" for me is children in pubs.....there was one, and they were quite noisy! (The reason for 3 for atmosphere) Otherwise a thoroughly delightful experience. We will definately call in again soon.

Had Sunday dinner here and the food was delicious. Friendly, attentive staff, would recommend

Only discovered this place 4 weeks ago, and have been here 3 times since. Lovely location and food.
