2 weeks agoBooked a table in the restaurant for a small family lunch. On line the menu looked good. Arrived at the appointed time only to find that the Restaurant was closed and we were directed to the bar area. The menus offered were the set menu and a lunch menu. The food was very good from the set menu and we have no complaints of the service. What was very disappointing was the atmosphere was not the same as dinning in a proper restaurant . The management should have replied to my booking and advised that the restaurant was closed and we would have had the opportunity to cancel. May be one day we might try again.

5 months agoHidden gem! This restaurant flies under the radar as its tucked away behind the George hotel so its not particularly visible when driving through the village. Excellent food, sensibly priced, well worth a visit

a year agoBooked for family event. Restaurant was empty apart from our party and one couple. Food took ages to arrive and all meals for our party of 9 arrived cold with some Luke warm gravy. Very disappointing. Cannot recommend and will not be returning.
