We opened Damascene restaurant in Slough in 2018 with the purpose of serving the locals authentic Syrian food–the traditional way. As chefs, we wanted to do so in the way it’s done back home.
Sharing, generosity and hospitality are the hallmarks of Syrian culture. Food, is a celebration of life: Endless varieties and magical tastes…it is healthy and naturally prepared. It all comes together at meal time, the time for a family get-together and the time for friends to catch up. It is the perfect setting too for closing that business deal.
At Damascene, our food and service reflects these traditions. We take great care in our cooking using only the finest natural ingredients. We never rush our guests and always serve with a smile. Our success is a tribute to our loyal customers who appreciate the importance of being served good and healthy food in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

in the last weekThe food is absolutely delicious and thoroughly enjoyed it each time I come but always find their service poor. Sat down at the table for waiting for a menu, got up to ask for one and rather than apologising for making me wait just pointed me to the menu. The guy at the till just seems like he doesn’t care and honestly if the food wasn’t good I wouldn’t come back and tell people I don’t recommend it. Brothers lovely spot but treat your customers with as much love and care as you do with your food. Nonchalant attitude isn’t what customers want when they come to enjoy some food and good service.

a week agoI travel for work and I've been to the middle east and nothing was even near this restaurant. I highly recommend it and I think this should be a place for everybody to eat at least once in their lives.
