La Fontana

I highly recommend this restaurant. They offer great food, and they give excellent service.

Wow, what a find! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ How refreshing to find such a lovely, warm and genuinely welcoming restaurant where you really feel like they care about your custom. Being an independent restaurant is hard enough these days when there are so many chains around, and I won’t name names, but we all know an Italian chain or two So it was such a pleasure to discover La Fontana, which has been established for around 20 years. Originally Italian, they’ve adapted beautifully to the diversity of the local area and now offer a little Spanish tapas alongside other dishes to complement the menu, while still keeping that lovely Italian heart. Now, I personally like to judge an Italian restaurant by its pizzas and by jove, La Fontana did not disappoint. My pizza was absolutely delicious. Clearly made with a proper tomato base, rich with just a hint of sweetness from good tomatoes, and a crispy but not overcooked base with that really authentic Italian flavour. I went for a simple ham, mushroom and black olive pizza and it was just SO good. The rest of our party had pasta dishes and sea bass, all of which were very well received too. The fish came with a lovely generous amount of fresh vegetables as well, which was so nice to see compared with some places where you’re presented with a rather sad little bowl of peas on the side The whole experience just felt warm, friendly and genuine. If you’ve never been to La Fontana, GO. Go now. Go today. I highly recommend it and we will absolutely be back! ❤️

Only one word to sum up this place.... INCREDIBLE. The service was amazing. The food was awesome. The atmosphere was relaxing.
