LOUISE MOUNTAIN
a week agoWhat an all round dreadful experience. I live nearby to here and in the past it has been a really good restaurant - but not now! It smells when you walk in, the decorations are shabby & tawdry, the food is well below average and the service is very poor. I try it every 6 months or so to see if improved but I wont be wasting my money any further.

a week agoAverage type food £40 for a steak is expensive especially when it’s not cooked properly. The new potatoes were soggy! Good service however otherwise 2 stars! Toilets are not nice either..!

3 weeks agoThe best meal we have had in a pub for a long time. Great food, attentive staff (with a great sense of humour).

3 weeks agoWhen we parked up behind the pub our first instinct was to turn around and drive back out. The grounds were badly maintained and overgrown and the building exterior had seen better days, boarding in the windows upstairs, flaking paint. Walking into the pub we were pleasantly surprised, it wasn't anything like the outside!! not perfect but clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful and the sandwiches were great, id definitely recommend the fishfinger. We're not from the area so don't know the history to this place, but with a bit of TLC and a lawnmower this could be an amazing place. I can't comment on the rest room as I didnt vist.
