We opened Damascene restaurant in Slough in 2018 with the purpose of serving the locals authentic Syrian food–the traditional way. As chefs, we wanted to do so in the way it’s done back home.
Sharing, generosity and hospitality are the hallmarks of Syrian culture. Food, is a celebration of life: Endless varieties and magical tastes…it is healthy and naturally prepared. It all comes together at meal time, the time for a family get-together and the time for friends to catch up. It is the perfect setting too for closing that business deal.
At Damascene, our food and service reflects these traditions. We take great care in our cooking using only the finest natural ingredients. We never rush our guests and always serve with a smile. a month agoThe food and the service was excellent, it wasn’t just standard grilled meats, they were marinated and seasoned well. The cold mezze platter was fantastic, every item was spot on and they also had this potato starter dish which was spectacular. We would definitely go back whenever we are back in the area and highly recommend eating here.

3 months agoIf you only have one night in Slough, go here to eat! We were visiting from the US, and got into town pretty late. Decided to go to Damascene and we’re so glad we did! Delicious food, great prices, amazing environment and wonderful service. Highly recommend!

4 months agoIt was our first time here but honestly, it exceeded our expectations!! The moment we stepped in, we were greeted by staff and was offered if we would like to be seated upstairs. Very nice ambiance, friendly staff and service is topnotch!! 💯 We were truly impressed! And the fooood? It was so good!! We will definitely come back!

4 months agoWe arrived from London. Ahmad was so kind and welcoming. He made our 6 yo daughter a fruit smoothie. Food was gorgeous! Will definitely be back next time we’re in Slough. 100% recommend! Thank you for making our evening!
