As a former Roman settlement, Maidenhead is no stranger to the joys of continental cuisine. El Cerdo sits at the heart of Maidenhead’s canal-side Waterside Quarter with outdoor seating available next to the water. There’s something magical about sitting outside with the gentle ripple of the canal that just seems to make our food taste even better!

The star of the show in Maidenhead is our impressive charcoal oven, handpicked by our Executive Chef to bring the unique smoky flavours of Spanish tapas to life. Built using the same bricks and techniques as charcoal ovens have been throughout Spanish history, our oven creates ‘ahumado’ (mouth-watering smokiness) for you to savour.

When you join us in Maidenhead, you can expect a hearty, Spanish welcome along with a truly unforgettable dining experience. Although you enter the restaurant as a guest, you will leave as part of the El Cerdo family… And with a warm glow in your belly that only great food can bring!

You can find El Cerdo at The Colonnade, Maidenhead SL6 1QG

Nice place and good service. The tapas are mediocre. Don't expect a night of Madrid dining, but pleasant enough with a good wine list.

Lovely little place by the water in a newish development, plenty of outside seating, cosy inside. The food & bev specials looked good. Friendly greeting, nice Albariño and the Estrella Galicia was cold. We went for a few small plates and enjoyed the atmosphere which was good for a Tuesday at 5:30pm. We liked their take on Tapas, well-executed and their Jamón was very good, especially with the lovely ripe melon, almonds and complementing sauce. The Chistorra sausage rolls were very tasty, the Tortilla was OK as were the Patatas Bravas. £75 with five drinks wasn’t bad and we were satisfied. Not overly gluten-free friendly but staff were knowledgeable and the menu clearly labeled. Although service was friendly and efficient, was a tad inattentive at times. Still, we really enjoyed our visit, food was good and we left with happy tummies and positive thoughts about the experience.

Waited forever for the food Dishes came out at separate times which meant one person eating whilst the other watched on Food was excellent when it arrived but shame about the kitchen delays
