The Angel on the Bridge is an iconic pub. Dating back to 1728, this grade II listed pub is one of the most photographed and painted pubs in England, because of its architecture and the amazing riverside location on the River Thames.
Inside it’s a quintessentially English pub with original beams and fireplace serving freshly cooked food. Outside on the terrace, it’s the perfect place to have a drink, a bite to eat and watch life go by on the river.
There’s a warm welcome waiting for you, no matter what time of year you visit, so pop in when you visit the beautiful Henley On Thames.

in the last weekA few days away at Henley on Thames and was recommended we ate at The Angel on the Bridge. Definitely lived up to expectations as my wife had the cheeseboard and I opted for the Ham & Cheese Sandwich with a side of chips. The pub is vibrant as it sits right on the Thames, and with the great weather was very busy. The staff were very friendly and we were pleased with our choice
