a week agoFollowing recommendations i visited this epic shop for takeaway. It looks so tempting. I came away with two pies - Chicken, Broccoli & Stilton and Steak & kidney. Then I added a Scotch Egg and finally a Cornish pasty. These were eaten over a week and were all exceptional. The pies are great, the pastry is perfect and they are well filled with very tasty generous fillings. Scotch egg, the best I've ever had. The pasty is still in the freezer but I'm sure it's great. Oh and the staff are charming. Very highly recommended

2 weeks agoI live in maidenhead but every couple of weeks or so I come to reading and always buy meat and often pies here to take away. The cooked meat sliced to order is of a hight standard, not only better than Waitrose but cheaper!. The pies are excellent quality. Good pastry and lots of filling. Only issue I have is that the standard pie is a bit too big for one person but not enough for two people. I often buy Sweeneys pasties. Cornish pastry really but they can't call them that. Good value for money
